The home learning environment team are delighted to have launched brand-new Hungry Little Minds passport quests for children aged 0 to 5.
The brand-new Hungry Little Minds passport quests are available in 12 local areas across the country, stretching from Cornwall all the way up to Newcastle.
These passports have been created to encourage families, carers and early years settings to both explore and enjoy their local area, whilst developing their children’s language and literacy skills along the way.
Each child is tasked with completing three to five targets with their families, the tasks include:
- visiting and registering at a local library
- completing our bespoke story trail
- carrying out a treasure hunt
- signing up to our early years fortnightly newsletter
These passports also signpost to the brilliant services that can be found around the local areas, feature ideas for families to enjoy at home, and direct parents to plenty of activities on the Words for Life website.
If you would like more information about the Hungry Little Minds passport quests or would like one for your area please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Win extra goodies for your little ones
Once families have completed their three to five tasks (which vary area by area), we have asked the families to send a photo of their completed passport alongside photo evidence of the completed tasks to email@example.com. They will then receive a free prize which will include a range of chat, play and read activities and some super fun freebies for the little ones to enjoy to celebrate their hard work!
Additionally, in each area everyone who completes the passport will be entered into an extra special prize draw. Winners of this prize draw will receive an exclusive gift which ranges from visits to the local zoo, aquariums and theme parks!
These passports form part of the Hungry Little Minds campaign which is being delivered in 12 areas across the country. These areas include: The Wirral, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Manchester, Birmingham, Black Country, North Yorkshire Coast, Croydon, Doncaster, Swindon, Peterborough and Cornwall.
