Read the inspiring Q&A with Dr Megan Rossi

We caught up with Dr Megan Rossi (PhD, RD), known as The Gut Health Doctor, who is currently working with Lancôme to raise awareness of microbiome science and its role in general health, wellbeing and supporting the skin.

Dr Rossi is a leading Research Fellow at King’s College London, registered dietitian, nutritionist and author, and leads a team of gut-specialist dietitians at The Gut Health Clinic in London.

She told us all about what International Women’s Day means to her, why she chose to pursue a career in science and her top advice and experiences of getting into the world of work to inspire young women everywhere.

Check out her insightful Q&A here.

Our Words for Work: Women in Leadership programme is part of Lancôme's global Write Her Future initiative. For further reading, you can also explore the stories of five inspirational female mentors here, who all have different life experiences, educational backgrounds and career paths in the creative industry and share their advice too.

Download and share our Behind the Cover book List

We originally created the Behind the Cover audio book club with Lancôme, in response to school and college closures across the UK, to support the literacy and wellbeing of young women and non-binary readers aged 16 and over at home. The books explore a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences and themes relevant to young women today, to help them navigate this uncertain time.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we have created a poster to highlight the brilliant titles, written by women with women at their hearts, which have supported thousands of readers so far and we hope will continue to do so.

You can download and print the book list for your students or classroom here. You’ll also be able to see what other young readers thought of each title.

We also have further book lists on our Words for Life website. Check out our International Women’s Day Book List for ages 13+ and our International Women’s Day Book List for ages 16+.
