Using audio in the classroom

Following last year's report based on the Annual Literacy Survey, Children and young people's listening in 2023, we want to continue to explore the benefits of audio for promoting reading engagement. Join us as we discuss the power of audio to engage reluctant readers, discuss the skills developed through audio listening and explore practical strategies for realising these benefits in the classroom. We will hear from partners working in this space, offering you ideas and solutions for developing your audio offer in school.

Expert speakers from:

  • Audible - online audiobook and podcast provider with over 700k titles.
  • Listening Books - a UK charity providing an audiobook lending service to those who cannot read or access printed books due to a print disability.
  • Voxblock - screen-free, easy-to-use audiobook player for children.
