Place-themed Literacy CPD: Relatable Reads

Would you like to use more representative texts to engage your diverse learners with reading?

In this FREE online CPD session, we will discuss Relatable Reads - a project which champions texts written by Muslim women authors as a way to build literacy engagement and celebrate local communities.

We will be joined by Dr Amy Burge: the University of Birmingham academic who designed and leads on the project. The session will explore the general practice of choosing texts to represent local identities, as well as Muslim women's fiction specifically.
