Do you work in a secondary school or adult education setting?
Would you like to engage your students with reading, writing and local heritage?
In this FREE online CPD session, we will discuss A Time for Letters: a project which helps young people to engage with reading and writing, by connecting them to local historic letters.
We will be joined by Professor Karen Harvey and Dr Emma Marshall: the academics who designed and lead on the project. The session will show you how to make use of an online database of letters, and discuss how letter-writing can open up students to conversations about relationships and modern communication generally.
This session is part of our ongoing CPD series on place-themed approaches to literacy.
