About the author
Nadia Shireen has won awards for her picture books, including the UKLA Book Award for Good Little Wolf and Barbara Throws a Wobbler, which has been described as a ‘little doorway of joy’ by Caitlin Moran. She’s also won the Branford Bose award and been shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize, Oscar’s Book Prize, Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, the Lollies, The Week Junior Book Awards and the Books Are My Bag Readers Awards – and has been Writer-Illustrator in Residence for BookTrust. Grimwood is her first series for older readers.
About the event
Welcome to fantastically funny world of Grimwood! Join Nadia Shireen as she takes students into the bonkers world of the Grimwood series. She will introduce them to the crazy cast of Grimwood inhabitants along the way and share what it's like to be an author / illustrator. We would recommend this 45-minute event for pupils between year 3 and 6 (P4-P7).
During the event, pupils can enjoy a highly interactive event including a reading from the book, live draw-a-long and a Q&A section. Don't forget your pencil and paper!
