What is National Storytelling Week?
National Storytelling Week takes place at the end of January every year and is a celebration of the power of sharing stories. Stories teach us about the world, they allow us to step into someone else’s shoes and feel empathy, they help us to relax and escape and they can help develop essential literacy skills.
Tuesday 30 January: Musical storytelling at Kirkley Family Hub
Storytelling and music with Little Beats for early years children, based on the book Guess How Much I Love You. Spaces are limited, so please book via link.
Saturday 3 February: Bedtime stories at Lowestoft Library
Story and hot chocolate at Lowestoft Library. There are three time slots on the day - children should wear their favourite pyjamas and bring along a teddy to share the story.
