Doncaster Annual Literacy Survey

Teacher and six kids.jpg

Our annual survey of pupils aged 5 to 18 explores children and young people’s reading and writing enjoyment, behaviour and attitudes.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Annual Literacy Survey for children and young people aged 9 to 18 allows us to continue building a year-on-year picture of literacy within the UK through the eyes of children and young people.

This is the second time we are running Annual Literacy Survey for children aged 5 to 8, aiming to explore literacy in the UK for children in their first years of school.

We are now recruiting schools to take part in January/February 2020.

Our survey will be hosted by Bounce Together, a digital platform created for schools to monitor pupils' wellbeing, behaviours, health, perceptions and attitudes.

Participating schools will receive real-time access to their students' survey data with readily-available reports and group-level analysis.

How it works

We aim to survey children and young people aged 5 to 18, both male and female, from a variety of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

Participating schools will receive a school-specific online survey link so you will only need to provide students with access to a 15-20 minute online survey, and we will do the rest. The survey can either be done online at school or it could be set as homework.
