Sequencing for writing in KS2 CPD
Enhance the teaching and learning of primary writing
Evidence suggests that lesson sequencing is key to effective learning as it relies on the systematic acquisition and retention of knowledge.
Aligned with The Writing Framework, this 1.5 day CPD explores the how? and the why? of teaching sequences, with space for critical and personal reflection.
We’ll explore how sequencing supports the processing and shaping of knowledge – important next steps for enhancing writing. You’ll develop practical approaches to designing rigorous writing sequences, supporting effective teaching and learning of this key skill.

Format
The training is delivered online as follows:
- Day 1: Twilight - 3:30pm – 5:30pm
- Day 2: 9:30am – 2:30pm
Access to the live sessions will be via Zoom. Attendees will have access to a learning management system (LMS) where they’ll be able to download resources, auditing tools, gap tasks and session recordings.
Cost
The cost of this training is £250 per person.
National Literacy Trust premium members will receive a £50 discount per school booking.
