Thank you to everyone who attended the Where's Wally? fun run at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday 15 March 2020, and to everyone who joined the event virtually. It was wonderful seeing so many Wallys putting their best foot forward in the name of literacy!
Your race results are now available online. We know that some of our fastest runners left for home before the prize giving - but we'll be in touch with you this week with your trophy.
Our finisher medals are currently in transit from Stansted airport, following a backlog at customs! These will be posted out to you as soon as they arrive at our office - thank you so much for your patience.
Race photos will be available online shortly, and we will email you as soon as they are available.

Thank you to our amazing virtual Wally's who couldn't join us in Stratford, but who completed their 1km, 5km or 10km runs in their local area or at the gym. It was wonderful to receive your photos and your record of achievement yesterday, and we'll send your finisher's medals out very shortly!
How do I set up my fundraising page?
Click here to set your JustGiving page. Every penny will make a big difference to children who need our support. Here are just some ways that your fundraising will change lives:
- £7 could inspire a love of reading by gifting a disadvantaged child with their very first book to take home and keep forever.
- £15 could fund a teenager to attend a literacy skills workshop that will help them get a job when they leave school.
- £45 could cover the cost of one primary school child to attend our Young Reader’s Programme, which will help improve their literacy skills.
- £100 could give five families the skills and support they need to help develop their children’s reading through our Early Words Together programme.
- £650 can provide a Literacy Toolkit to a local primary school or community group.
Plus, everyone who raises over £50 will be put into a draw to win some great prizes, including: a £60 Go Ape Voucher, Science Museum IMAX Cinema tickets, paintball vouchers, £75 towards dining and drinks at The Trafalgar St. James, family tickets for Clown Town, the Children's Discovery Centre, Battersea Park Children's Zoo and much more!
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Public transport is the best way to get to and from the Where's Wally? fun run. There are a limited number of Blue Badge holder spaces at the Timber Lodge that are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The nearby Olympic Park Avenue has on-street pay and display spaces with easy access to the Park. Please visit the park website for further information on getting to the race.
How do you calculate the fastest individuals and teams?
Individual times are determined by the finishing time recorded by the chip timer. Trophies will be awarded for the fastest male and fastest female in the 1km, 5km and 10km routes. The fastest team times for the 5km and 10km routes will be determined by combining the first three finishing times in each team to give an overall time.
Meeting Konnie Huq
You will also be able to meet children’s author and former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, who is supporting the fun run this year! Konnie will be at the Olympic Park on race day to cheer everyone on and sign copies of her debut children’s book Cookie and the Most Annoying Boy in the World. Books will be available to purchase on the day of the event.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! Well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome to join us at the Where's Wally? fun run 2020.
What's the refund policy?
Unfortunately, registration for this event is non-refundable. However, if you are no longer able to take part but a friend or family member is able to run instead we would be happy to transfer your place. Please contact Laura or Emily on 020 7587 1842 or on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, but only until midnight on Wednesday 11 March. For any changes to your registration information please contact Laura or Emily on 020 020 7587 1842 or on email@example.com.
Filming and photography
We will be filming and taking photos during the event. If you don’t want to be featured, please let a member of National Literacy Trust staff know. Photos will be available to you at no cost after the event.
Can people sign up on the day?
Yes, your friends and family will be able to sign up on the day. This will be subject to availability and there will be a higher registration fee.
