Thanks so much for signing up to the Where’s Wally? fun run 2019! Welcome to the runners’ zone, where you will find all the information you will need for race day.
You can wear your costume over your usual running gear and it will consist of a Wally hat, t-shirt and glasses. If you chose to have your costume posted, it is on its way to you. If you chose to collect your costume, you can do this on race day.
On the day
On the Day Registration fees:
- Adult with costume £35
- Child (12 and under) with costume £20
- Family (one adult, three children or two adults and two children) with costumes £75
The run will take place at the junction of The Avenue (the South Circular) and Windmill Drive in Clapham Common.
It is easy to get to on foot from Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Road stations, and Clapham South and Clapham Common underground stations.
There is very limited parking, so please avoid driving. You can use CityMapper to help plan your journey.
The approximate timings on the day will be:
- 8.30am: Registration opens
- 9.25am: 1k kids warm-up
- 9.30am: 1k kids race
- 9.50am: 5k and 10k warm-up
- 10.00am: 5k and 10k races starts
There will be music, kids’ games and rides, and food and drink stalls available all day to keep supporters and runners entertained and well fed! Please bring cash with you.
A multi-terrain 1k loop. Parents are able to run with their kids free of charge.
A mostly flat, multi-terrain 5k loop (run twice for those taking part in the 10k). It is clearly signposted so please try to stay on the course. There will be plenty of marshals to help you.
During the race
You will be given a timing chip when you check in on the day. This will register your start time as soon as you cross the start mat.
After the race
Your timing chip will register when you cross the finish line and all the results will be displayed on the day. We will also email it to you after the race. We will be there to congratulate you as you finish with a medal and goody bag, and you can return your timing chip (please try to remember to do this, there will be a £5 charge if you don’t return it!)
Filming and photography
We will be filming and taking photos during the event. If you don’t want to be featured, please let a member of National Literacy Trust staff know.
How to I change my entry?
It is no problem if you need to change your entry, please just send us an email, or give us a call on 02078 206 279.
Can people sign up on the day?
Yes, your friends and family will be able to sign up on the day. This will be subject to availability and there will be a higher registration fee.
How do I cancel my entry?
Unfortunately, registration for this event is non-refundable. However, if you are no longer able to take part but a friend or family member is able to run instead we would be happy to transfer your place. Please send us an email or give us a call on 02078 206 279. It is not possible to refund any online sponsorship.
What are the age limits for each race?
The 1k race is for ages 12 and under, but parents are able to run with their children free of charge.
The 5k and 10k races are for ages 8 and over, but we are able to make exceptions so please do get in touch if you would like to discuss it.
