Thank you for signing up to take part in the Where’s Wally? fun run 2018 and welcome to the runners' zone.
Here, you'll find all the information you need for the day of the race.
Costumes consist of a t-shirt, hat and glasses, to be worn over your usual running gear.
Your costume will be sent to you by post ahead of the race. If you register less than two weeks before the race you will receive a voucher to exchange for your costume on the day.
On the day
8.45am: Registration opens
9.25am: 1k kids warm-up
9.30am: 1k kids race
9.50am: 5k and 10k warm-up
10.00am: 5k and 10k races starts
The fun run festival will be situated between the Bandstand and Mount Pond at the centre of Clapham Common. The site is easily accessible on foot from Clapham Common and Clapham South underground stations (Northern Line), Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Road (National Rail).

Arrival and registration
Please arrive from 8:45am on race day and check at the registration desk. Ensure your race number is securely fastened to your chest (safety pins will be provided) and your chip timing device securely fitted to your footwear (tags provided).
Please note: You will incur a £5 charge if you fail to return your chip.
In the festival
9.00am: Live music
9.20am: Welcome from our Director, Jonathan Douglas
9.25am: Kids’ warm up
9.45am: Kids’ prize giving and welcome from a special guest
9.50am: 5k and 10k warm up
10.00am: Live music
10.45am: Prize giving and thank you
11am: Live music
Food and drink
Some of the UK's top pop-up food retailers will be joining us in the festival area to keep runners and spectators well fed. These include:
Scoff n Nosh
The course is a 1k loop on both grass and concrete paths. All runners will complete one lap. Parents are allowed to run with their own children free of charge in this race only.
5k and 10k races
The course is a fairly flat and multi-terrain (running on both grass and concrete paths), with some hilly areas. The course is a 5k loop. Runners will complete one lap for the 5k, or two laps for the 10k. The course is signposted and in parts taped, so please stay on the course. There will be plenty of marshals along the route to help you.
During the race
Your timing chip will only register your start time once you have crossed the start mat.
For the 5k and 10k races, there will be a water station on the course at the halfway point (approximately 2.5 km)
After the race
Once you cross the finish line, you will remove your chip and receive your goodie bag and medal.
Your race result will be posted live on our 42" screen in the runners’ lounge and emailed to you after the race. You’ll also be able to find a few event photos on our Facebook page after the race.
Filming and photography
There will be filming and photography during the event. If you do not wish to be featured, please make yourself known to a National Literacy Trust member of staff.
How do I change my entry?

Is it possible to enter on the day?
Yes your friends and family will be able to enter on the day, subject to availability and at a higher registration fee.
How do I cancel my entry?
Unfortunately, registration for this event is non-refundable. However if you are unable to participate due to injury or other extenuating circumstances, the National Literacy Trust may be able to make an exception. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org. It will not be possible to refund any sponsorship received online.
