M.G. Leonard

MG Leonard - storyteller

M. G. Leonard, author of international bestseller 'Beetle Boy', is a writer of books, poems and screenplays. She has a first-class honours degree in English literature and an MA in Shakespeare Studies from Kings College London.

She currently works as the Senior Digital Producer for the National Theatre, and previously worked at the Royal Opera House and Shakespeare’s Globe. Her school events can be tailored for any age, from reception up to Sixth Form.

She offers a standard 1-2 hour author event with a PowerPoint, Q&A and book signing suitable for an assembly or single session, creative writing workshops which can be aimed at specific KS levels, or a combination of both.

The creative writing workshops are devised to enable participants to discover the power of storytelling, cultivate research skills, challenge their own views, develop empathy, consider the impact of a story on the reader, and encourage all students to express themselves with words.
