Summer school provision: activities to support teachers’ planning

Writing image

We have gathered together engaging reading, writing and skill building activities to help support teachers planning for summer school provision. Sign up for our newsletter to be kept updated as we develop and add to these resources.

We've linked to our top selection of literacy building activities for all ages below, or you can explore our full range of literacy planning and teaching resources.

Furthermore, you can access free digital books and exclusive author videos on the Oak Academy and National Literacy Trust Virtual School Library.

To support families and young people, Words for Life provides children aged 0-13 years with activities and support to improve their language, literacy and communication skills from home, and Zone In has a range of resources for young people aged 13-24 to help them feel more confident reading, writing, speaking and listening.
