What`s involved

As part of a group of interns, you will have the opportunity to complete a large scale creative project, take part in employability training, receive one to one mentoring and attend creative masterclasses led by industry leading experts.

All internship placements are part-time and will take place virtually. We can support you with all of the technology that you need to take part.

Lancôme

Dates: 10 to 28 August ( part-time)

Have you ever wondered what it takes to work for a global beauty brand? During this two week placement, you will gain an insight into what it is like to work for the world-renowned beauty brand Lancôme.

Through this placement you will have the opportunity to:

  • Extend your creative portfolio by working on a large scale project set by Lancôme.
  • Gain an insight into what it means to work for a global beauty brand by attending masterclasses with different Lancôme departments.
  • Attend employability and literacy workshops to support you with your next steps.

  • This placement is open to young women aged 18-19.

Great Portland Estates

Dates: 17 to 28 August 2020 (part-time)

Do you live in London and are unsure what you would like to do when you leave school? This placement with give you an insight into what it is like to work for different leading companies.

Through this placement you will have the opportunity to:

  • Extend your creative portfolio by working on a large scale project.
  • Gain a taster of what it means to work in different industries by attending masterclasses led by experts from different companies.
  • Attend employability and literacy workshops.
  • Receive one to one mentoring post programme to support you as you take your next steps.

Eligibility

  • You must be aged between 15-19.
  • You must live in London.

PwC

Dates: 24 to 28 August 2020 (part-time)

Learn what it means to work for one of the UK's biggest employers on this one-week placement with PwC .

Through this placement you will have the opportunity to:

  • Extend your creative portfolio by working on a large scale project set by PwC.
  • Gain an insight into what it means to work for a global firm by attending masterclasses with different PwC departments.
  • Attend employability and literacy workshops to support you with your next steps.
  • Receive your own laptop.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the programme you must be aged between 15-19. Criteria and age requirements vary for each placement.
  • Unable to commit to all of the dates of your chosen placement? Please still get in touch.
  • Applications close on Monday 20th of July.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take part in an online interview in August 2020. Support in preparing for the interview will be provided by the Words for Work team.
  • The Words for Work team will work with successful applicants to ensure that they have access to the digital technology they need for their placement.
