Don't forget to grab your favourite books! Tom and Louisa will lead everyone in the Take 10 moment, reading together for 10 minutes at 10am with schools and families across the UK.

We’re excited to announce that all primary school pupils are invited to meet author and illustrator Tom Percival at our free virtual Take 10 event!
As well as chatting about how reading helps us feel good, pupils will be treated to a sneak peek of Tom's brand NEW BOOK Silas and the Marvellous Misfits before it publishes on 14 October! Picked as a Marcus Rashford Book Club Choice, Silas and the Marvellous Misfits is an action-packed adventure that shows kids the joy of being themselves.

Tom Percival writes and illustrates all sorts of children's books. He has produced cover illustrations for the Skulduggery Pleasant series, written and illustrated the Little Legends, the Dream Defenders series, as well as twelve picture books. His Big Bright Feelings picture book series includes the acclaimed Ruby's Worry, as well as Perfectly Norman and Ravi's Roar.
We're delighted to invite secondary school students to join our free Take 10 author event with young adult author Louisa Reid.
Louisa will explore the how reading and writing can boost our wellbeing and mental health focusing particularly on poetry and verse. Students will also hear about her novel Gloves Off. Widely critically acclaimed, Gloves Off is the stunning story of a girl taking on the world, about body-image and bullying, and above all, about making every moment worth fighting for.

Louisa Reid is the author of four critically acclaimed novels for young adults and has been shortlisted for numerous awards. When she isn’t writing, Louisa works as a secondary-school English teacher and loves inspiring, and being inspired by, young adults.
