"Two friends embark on an exciting adventure to chase their butterflies away. They cross new seas to uncharted lands, on a journey filled with discovery. The only trouble is they’re all a bit worried about it.”

Our home learning environment team is partnering with theatre company Tangled Feet for a free digital family session based around butterflies. This digital session will be taking place on Thursday 25 November from 10.00-11.30am via Zoom.

Families, carers and early years settings with children aged 2 to 5 are invited to join Tangled Feet and the home learning environment team as they take you and your little one on an interactive virtual story trail exploring different landscapes; crossing the sea, climbing a mountain, playing in a forest, working together to reach their destination.

Using a combination of drama activities and storytelling, your little ones will be led through imaginative play exercises and will learn calming mindfulness techniques as they go on a guided journey.

This digital family session forms part of Hungry Little Minds, a campaign delivered by the National Literacy Trust and 12 delivery partners across the country, funded by the Department for Education. This initiative aims to provide families and carers of children aged 0 to 5 with resources and tools to help with their children’s language and literacy development, ready for when they start school.

To register for this free event please use the form below and we will email you the Zoom details.

*A replay will be available for all those who register and cannot make the live session.
