Arctic Challenge information evening

Arctic Challenge 2017

Ever wondered what it would be like to test your resilience and explore one of the most unspoilt environments on the planet?

On Thursday 26 September in London at 6pm, you are invited to a special evening with expedition leader John Howie to learn more about the National Literacy Trust Arctic Challenge, what's involved, ways to make fundraising fun and easy, and to find out if this challenge is for you!

Drinks and nibbles will be served, but places are strictly limited.

To register your interest in attending please email Laura Hyde or call 020 7820 6254

About the challenge

Deep in the wilderness of the Arctic Circle, the Arctic Challenge is your opportunity to discover skills such as:

  • Dog sledding
  • Nordic skiing
  • Ice fishing
  • Orienteering
  • Fire lighting (this is harder than it sounds!)

No previous experience of the activities is needed as full instruction will be given.

With temperatures reaching as low as -30 degrees centigrade and sunlight only lasting a few hours, you will be pushed to your limits. But with incredible home-cooked food and the chance of seeing the spectacular Northern Lights, this is an experience that you’ll never forget.
