Teacher mindfulness

As part of our campaign to support teacher and school staff wellbeing, we will be running a series of free mindfulness courses throughout the school year. These live courses are designed specifically for those working in schools and will offer lots of advice, support and guidance on ways to manage the stresses and strains of your working lives.

The courses will be run by mindfulness coach Tony Dallas. Tony has worked in and around communities for the past 44 years. He is a storyteller, writer, drama practitioner and runs a children’s charity called Success Club that goes into schools and works with children, parents and teachers on personal development, growth mindset and the art of being mindful. Tony has been studying mindfulness for six years and has been a mindfulness teacher for four years.

I believe everyone has a story to tell and the more we listen the more we learn about other people, but more importantly, about ourselves. The past cannot be changed and our vibration determines our attraction so these live 30 minute sessions are designed for us to take the time to be here right now: to nurture ourselves with compassion and understanding; to be non-judgmental and kind.

It’s sometimes hard to do that when everything is moving so quickly, needed so quickly. I don’t know who wrote this quote but what it says, resonates: “your mind is a powerful thing. When you fill it with positive thoughts your life will start to change.”
