Swindon Stories Connecting Stories Exhibition

Swindon exhibition

Welcome to the Swindon Stories online exhibition!

In March 2021, children and young people in Swindon, age 7 to 14, were invited to take part in a creative writing competition with the theme 'Everyday Heroes'. Connecting Stories is proud to be working with Swindon Museum and Art Gallery and Prime Theatre to launch this exhibition. We look forward to welcoming you to more Connecting Stories events later in the year.

Feeling inspired? Make a zine with Kristyna Baczynski.

Recommended for KS2

Try your hand, head, and pencils at making a zine of your own. Cut, fold, and draw a zine inspired by the stories you’ve read in our exhibition, or create your own, guided by Kristyna. Create a portrait gallery of your favourite people or your very WORST enemies. There are free downloadable resources to support this session.

Learn how music can tell us stories from the past, how playlists can show us our own histories both well-known and lesser explored. If you had to create a playlist of your life, what songs would you choose? Would they represent your family’s history? A history of your journey back and forth to school? What stories could you tell through your playlists?
