Senior Programme Manager, Primary Professional Development

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team delivering professional development, membership and resources for schools. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of our offer for primary schools and early years settings, and driving forward our mission.

As part of a small team, you will develop a strategy for high-quality, evidence-informed training and lead its implementation. This will include managing relationships with associate trainers where necessary, as well as colleagues from our programmes team. You will also deliver high-impact national conferences as leading events in the sector.

You will work with colleagues and key internal stakeholders to ensure the effective marketing of this work, including line managing a Schools Marketing Manager, and strengthen our networks and partnerships through our CPD offer.

This role is based in London but suitable for home and flexible working. You will need to be able to be in London for staff away days three times per year, as well as other team planning or training days three or four times per year, but the majority of your work can be carried out from home if you would prefer.

What we’re looking for

You will need to be a qualified teacher with experience of working in the primary sector and delivering CPD, both in-person and online. You will be able to identify and respond to opportunities to develop and expand primary training and provide strategic oversight of marketing activity. Commitment to innovation, including the use of digital platforms and hybrid models of delivery, would be an advantage, as would your own professional network including primary leaders, practitioners, local authorities and delivery organisations.
